The sledgehammer! A powerful, broad-chested contemporary that demands hearty meals. Black pepper and dark berries are wrapped in subtle hazelnut aromas. The impression is of both power and refinement. While it has a seductive and silky texture, tannins still occupy the foreground. This wine is still at the beginning of its maturation, and will deliver even more complexity and silky-smoothness once it has reached its prime.
Pairings: Red meat, braised dishes, dark chocolate
Storage potential: at least 10 years (can be significantly longer under ideal conditions)
