The Iggy Pop of wines – in fact, this comparison might not do the wine justice, which could well be more of a “Wild One” than the iconic provocateur. Pablo Fallabrino`s Barbera is luscious, “sauvage”, temperamental, and full of life, and while it is sure to delight Piemonte-aficionados, its appeal will not be restricted to this group. Intensely fragrant of sour cherries. On the nose, some aromas of earthy tomato and cedarwood, accompanied by subtly present raw, rustic notes. An explosion of fresh, juicy flavours on the palate. A potpourri of fresh fruit, tobacco, leather, and undergrowth. An acidity which is bracing yet not overpowering makes it superbly drinkable. A true tasting adventure.
